Tuesday was busy day for Black Eagles athletics. Girls Soccer goalie Carizma Wade helped out by shutting down the Cougars to end in a 0-0 tie with Capital. This makes Carizma 3rd shut out of the season. That puts our girls at a 2-0-1 record in the conference for the year. Next up the girls host GW at 6pm. The volleyball team split their tri match at home with Cabell Midland and St. Albans. The team lost to Cabell Midland in 2 close games 0-2, but bounced back to beat St. Albans 2-0 in the last game of the nightBoys soccer played tough and came up short against rival Capital at home with a score of 1-3. Next up the boys travel to GW for a 6pm start time.

Goalkeeper Carizma Wade had a blank sheet against Spring Valley including a penalty kick save to shut out the timberwolves 5-0The Black Eagles had plenty of offense with goals by Renae Gonzalez, Lelia Jemerison, Gracie Wilson, Juanita Sommella, Ajayla Reese. Assists on the night go to Renea Gonzalez, Ajayla Reese and 2 by Juanita Sommella. The win makes the Black Eagles 2-0 in Conference play and play rival Capital away on Tuesday at 6pm.

Girls Soccer downs Knights 3-0

Goalkeeper Carizma Wade lead the way for the Black Eagles shutting out the nights by having a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory over the Cabell Midland Knights. The Black Eagles had multiple players participate on the offense as Gracie Wilson, Ajayla Reese and Leila Jemerison all scored goals on assists by Renea Gonzalez and Addyson Day. The Black Eagles are back in action as they travel down to Hurricane on Thursday for a showdown at 6pm.
